NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that his drive against black money gave birth to a new black market of currency.
While addressing to a joint press conference in New Delhi, Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister of West Bengal Mumta Banerjee demanded of the Modi to take responsibility and resign for the failure of demonetize policy.
They alleged that Modi had ulterior motive behind the note ban. Rahul said that Modi received kickbacks from industrial houses.
Banerjee demanded of the Narendra Modi saying that he had promised, if the cash crunch situation did not improve in 50 day from demonetization, he will personally answer to it. She said that the government should have taken the parliament into confidence before taking such a big step.
She said the decision sent the country 20 years back.
