Islamabad: A drop scene has happened of a matter of Maryam Nawaz’s son in Law an import of machinery for a power plant in a leaked audio of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Sources said that almost the 60 percent work on the power plant of the son in law of Maryam Nawaz had completed before 2020 while the government had imposed complete ban on import from India.
The question was raised what will be the policy of the government for the projects started before the ban?
The government responded that the policy has changed, it is unfair for you but owing to change in the policy you have to search alternatives sources.
After the government decision, the son in law of Maryam Nawaz contacted to China for an import of a power plant.
Sources said that the power plant’s 60 percent machinery was imported by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cabinet member Abdul Razzaq Dawood company Descon before 2020.
After which the company turned towards China to import remaining 40 percent machinery, for which approximately more than additional one billion rupees are being paid.
The power distributor company has refused to give a grid station for a housing society. Back in 2020, Lahore High Court (LHC) had given verdict in the favour of the housing society and against the Disco.
Despite the court orders, still, a grid station has not been placed.
It is pertinent to mention that yesterday Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif alleged audio tape was surfaced
In this audio a man was informing Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif that Maryam Nawaz has asked to import a power plant from India for his son in law.
To which, the PM said that he is our son in law and you tell him issues regarding the matter, the plant has come to the country half from India. “he admits that this issue will create a problem” and you talk to him.
The PM said that when he will return from Turkey he will tell him after meeting him.
To which, the second person suggests the PM do this work through Ishaq Dar, so the PM said ok do this way.
