DUBAI: Dubai has announced an ambitious project to develop the world’s first Gold Road. The Dubai government has officially opened the new Gold District, where it was disclosed that a unique Gold Street will soon be established.
The authorities explained that the Gold District will become a major tourist destination in Dubai. The detailed plans and designs will be revealed in phases, and a new hub will be created to accommodate over a thousand gold and jewelry retailers.
Officials stated that the retail, wholesale, and investment aspects of the gold trade will be brought together in a single location, forming a complete gold and jewelry value chain under one roof.
Emirati officials also highlighted that gold represents Dubai’s rich trading legacy and national pride.
