Early morning rains in Karachi turns weather pleasant, more rains forecast all across country

Islamabad/Karachi/Lahore/Peshawar/Quetta: Rains have been forecasted today all across the country.

The meteorological department predicted that showers likely to lash in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta.

A meteorologist said that low pressure of air causing the rain is heading towards Balochistan while intermittent rains, light downpours and drizzle likely to pour in Karachi.

On the other hand early morning little rains made the weather pleasant.

The met department also predicted heavy rains some parts of the country besides rains in all provincial capitals including Islamabad.

Rains play havoc in Chitral, high level of Flood in River Chitral

On the other hand, flooding owing to heavy rains played havoc in district Astore as houses, crops and gardens damaged whereas there is upper level flood in the river Chitral owing to melting of glaciers.

The administration has made tent city for the affected persons.

Gaj Canal In Dadu water level increases, Khairpur Causeway broken in Khairpur

Besides that water level reached 10 feet at Gaj canal in Johi Tehsil of Dadu. While protective causeway was broken near Naseer Faqeer Jalalani in Khairpur due to which many areas came under water.

More rain-windstorm/thundershower is expected in Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, south/upper Punjab, Pothohar region, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next twelve hours.

Heavy falls are likely at isolated places in northeastern and south Balochistan, upper Sindh, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeast Punjab, Pothohar region and Kashmir.

Temperature of major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad and Peshawar 28 degree centigrade, Lahore thirty, Karachi 29, Quetta and Gilgit 24, Murree 18 and Muzaffarabad 25 degree centigrade.            

According to the weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with chances of rain and wind and thundershower (isolated heavy falls) is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula while partly cloudy weather is expected in Leh.

Srinagar 20 degree centigrade, Jammu 24, Leh 11, Pulwama, Shopian and Baramula 23 and Anantnag 24 degree centigrade.
