PESHAWAR: Significant tremors were felt in the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar, today.
According to the Seismic Centre, the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 211 kilometers underground, causing panic among residents. However, there have been no reports of casualties or damages.
Local residents reported that after the tremors, people evacuated their homes and gathered in safe open areas.
It should be noted that, at the end of the previous month, tremors of an earthquake were also felt in Swat district and surrounding areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
