ISLAMABAD (May 9, 2017): Election Commission of Pakistan has received 56 thousand requests for 22 seats of grade-17.
Election Commission of Pakistan is facing shortage of staff for next general elections and for the appointment, ECP received 56000 candidates requests, while the scrutiny of requests is underway. According to sources some big political figures also approached Election Commission. Political figures are trying their best to appoint their favorite persons. ECP officials said that short listing a large number of applications is also a major issue, while the officials vowed to appoint transparently without any political pressure.
