ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet (ECC) met here which approved export of two hundred thousand tons of sugar.
The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
The ECC approved public sector procurement of wheat for 2016-17 crop against the target of 7.05 million tons.
The Committee gave approval to extend applicability period of reduced rate of withholding tax of 0.4 percent on banking transactions of non-filers up to 30th of June this year.
It also accorded approval for disbursement of one month’s salary worth 380 million rupees for December last year for employees of Pakistan Steel Mills, Karachi.
