ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Asad Umar will chair a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Monday (today) where various matters will come under discussion including the future of Pakistan Steel Mills.
Sources have stated the experts will present a report on Pakistan Steel Mills’ restoration, and committee head and other officials will apprise the finance minister on the affair.
ECC members will take a decision on the matter of the Steel mills and then forward its verdict for validation to the federal cabinet, sources said.
Certain Russian and Chinese companies seek interest in undertaking the Pakistan Steel Mills on lease, sources added.
