ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has dismissed the petitions of model Ayyan Ali as well as Interior Ministry in former’s petition saying that despite court order her name is not expunged from the Exit Control list.
The Chief Justice commented that failure to exclude Ayyan’s name from the ECL mean non-implementation of court order.
The court directing Ayyan Ali to contact Interior Ministry adjourned the hearing of the case till March 2.
The court uphold court order to expunge Ayyan’s name from the ECL.
The detailed decision of the court would be announced soon, chief justice said.
During the hearing the counsel of the widow of lawyer Ijaz Chaudhary said that Ayyan Ali is nominated in the murder case of Custom inspector Ijaz Chaudhary. the counsel further said that Supreme Court had issued order to suspend arrest warrant of Ayyan Ali in this case. He plead the court to take back that order so Ayyan Ali should be included in the investigation.
To this chief justice said that the court has dismissed contempt of court applications and thus that order too has become ineffectual.
The counsel said that the suspect is not cooperating completely with the High Court as well as the Custom Court.
