ISLAMABAD: A meeting of National Economic Council (ECNEC) in the chair of Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved Rs 1837 billion development budget.
Press release issued after the huddle stated that the growth rate for agriculture fixed at 3 percent, 2 percent for industries and 4.8 percent for services sectors.
The moot decided to concentrate more on agriculture, IT, higher education, science and technology, skill base education under public sector development.
Addressing at the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the economic crisis is like an opportunity adding that the tasks which could not be complete earlier will be completed now.
PM Imran Khan said that provinces and federal government should have to take joint steps to deal with the economic crisis.
The Premier said that the government has introduced the local government system in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) which will help people to become part of the development process and powers will be transferred to people as well.
