Islamabad: National Economic Council (NEC) meeting will be held Wednesday (today) in chair of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The NEC will approve economic performance of current year while Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) of an amount Rs 800 billion will also be approved.
The council will give its nod to suggested Macro Economic Frame Work while growth rate has been fixed at 5 percent while in agriculture sector it is set at 3.9 percent and 5.9 percent for industries.
A whopping amount of Rs 2184 billion is suggested in a development budget for the next financial year 2022 to 2023.
An increase of Rs 50 billion has been made in the development budget of previous year.
