Islamabad (June 13, 2017): Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday adjourned hearing of code of conduct violation case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan till July 24, 2017.
A five member bench of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Retd) Sardar Raza Khan heard the code of conduct violation case against PTI chief Imran Khan.

PTI chief’s counsel Shahid Gondal submitted that the case was pending before Islamabad High Court.
He added that the IHC had sought reply from ECP on PTI’s petition seeking court order to restrain ECP from taking action against PTI chief in the code violation case by July 6 , 2017.
Gondal pleaded the ECP to adjourn hearing of the case to a date after July 6.
The ECP after hearing arguments of the PTI’s counsel adjourned further hearing of the matter till July 24.
During precious hearings, Imran’s counsel had taken the plea that a case relating to the code violation was pending in Islamabad High Court, pleading the Commission not to hear the case till disposal of the petition pending in IHC.
