Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has called secretary finance today as the finance ministry didn’t provide as per required amount of Rs 17 billion to the election body.
The ECP has called the secretary finance over not issuing due amount of the ECP.
The finance ministry has kept a budget of Rs 42 billion for the ECP for the preparations of upcoming general elections on February 8 next year.
Sources said that the finance ministry has issued Rs 10 billion so far.
