Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in its meeting on Wednesday could not decide regarding new delimitations under the new census across the country.
The ECP has decided to call another meeting to take final decision regarding the delimitations in the country.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja presided the meeting today wherein members of the ECP including secretary EC and special secretary and legal team were in attendance.
The meeting considered new delimitations after the new census while the legal team of the ECP briefed the meeting about legal and constitutional points.
Sources said that the ECP could not reach on final decision while they decided to call another consultative meeting.
The ECP will take final decision regarding the new delimitations in the next meeting.
