Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) taking notice of airing of live interview of a politician on a news channel, has directed Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to take neccesary action against the News Channel.
A news channel having the largest english daily in the country has aired a live interview at afternoon of a politician owing to which the ECP has directed the action against the news channel under election act 2017 section 158 and violation of code of conduct of the commission for the national media.

The ECP has also directed the PEMRA to warn two leading news channels of the country over airing interviews of different politicians yesterday.
