Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has fined 50000 rupees to Federal Minister for water and power Faisal Wawda in the disqualification case over constant absence from the hearing.
The ECP heard the disqualification petition against the Minister while a five-member bench in chair of Chief Election Commissioner heard the petition.
The counsel of the Minister didn’t appear before the ECP. Over which, the ECP has fined the minister of fifty thousand rupees over his absence on the constant basis.
On the other hand, the petitioner prayed to the ECP to stop the Minister for work while the member of Punjab said to the petitioner that you have been given last chance for arguments and you were filing stay petition.
The petitioner counsel said that if the ECP rejects his petition for stay then he will aruge. To which, Chief Election Commissioner said that that you give arguments in the presence of the counsel of the Faisal Wawda.
The ECP prorogued the hearing till February 24.
