Islamabad: Two meetings were held in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) today regarding preparations of upcoming general elections.
First meeting was held with Chief Secretary Sindh and newly appointed Inspector General (IG) Sindh Dr …. while second meeting with Chief Secretary Baluchistan and Inspector General (IG) Baluchistan.
The Chief Secretary Sindh and the IG Sindh briefed the ECP over preparations of the general elections. The Chief Secretary Sindh and IG Sindh assured the ECP extending every possible coperation during the upcoming general elections.

The ECP clarified on both the high rank officers of Sindh, Chief Secretary and IG Sindh holding of transparent and impartial elections is the responsibilityof the ECP adding that transfer and posting of officers which are vital in view of transparent elections and the ECP has already issued the direction in this regard.
The ECP officials apprised the high rank officers of Sindh that after the key transfer and posting, district returning officers, returning officers, assistant returning officers and monitoring teams will be deployed.
The ECP instructed that suggestions for transfer and postings be sent to the ECP as early as possible.
