Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan has issued notice to Federal Minister for Railways Azam Swati.
Regional ECP has issued notice to the Minister over violation of election code of conduct while the ECP has asked Swati to submit clarification, if not given then the ECP will take action on the violation of election code of conduct.
According to the ECP, it has issued election schedule in the NA-249 while participation in the election campaign after issuance of the election is a violation of the code of conduct.
It is pertinent to mention here that Azam Swati has participated in the election campaign of the PTI candidate Amjad Iqbal Afridi.
