Peshawar: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered care taker Chief Minister KP to remove minister Shahid Khan Khatak owing to his address to an election rally.
The ECP has written a letter to the CM KP apprising him that any office bearer in the care taker government can’t take part in political and election campaign.
The letter reads that provincial Election Commission and district election commissioner report were reviewed. The reports confirmed Shahid Khattak addressing the election rally.
The ECP clarified that the care taker set up has to hold transparent elections adding that the people belonging to the care taker government and their family members can’t take part in election and election campaign.
