Karachi: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday announced to postpone by-elections of local bodies polls (LBE) in all around Sindh including Karachi which were set to be held on April 18.
The declaration issued by the ECP said that the by-polls of local bodies elections (LBE) in whole of Sindh will now be held on May 7.
It is pertinent to mention here that second phase of local bodies elections were held in Karachi and Hyderabad on January 15 this year but passing of almost three months mayors of Karachi and Hyderabad have not been elected yet and local bodies could not start their work.
