According to the sources the Election Commission of Pakistan has prepared the preliminary draft of the proposed code of conduct for the general elections, the President, Prime Minister, Ministers, public officials will not be able to participate in the election campaign.
Government resources will not be used in the election campaign, There will be a ban on putting flags of political parties on government property. According to the Election Commission, the proposed code of conduct states that political parties and candidates will not offer bribes, gifts or any kind of enticement. The display of weapons in rallies, processions and public gatherings will be prohibited
According to the proposed code of conduct, political parties will be allowed to hold meetings subject to the administration, car rallies will not be allowed in the election campaign. Apart from this, communal and linguistic discourse will be banned
