Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and counsel Salman Akram Raja petition.
Headed by the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja comprising five-member bech heard the PTI petition.
The petition has insisted the ECP to mark PTI in Salman Akbar Raja, candidature in form 33 as he is contesting elections as an independent candidates.
The ECP deputy director law Asma Janjua pronounced the reserved verdict of the Salman Akbar Raja petition.
The verdict said that an independent candidate can’t be awarded the party name.
