ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the schedule for the by-election on the vacant Senate seat of Ejaz Chaudhry.
According to the ECP, the Returning Officer will issue a public notice on August 18. Nomination papers can be submitted on August 19 and 20, while the list of candidates who file nomination papers will be published on August 21.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be completed by August 23. Candidates whose papers are rejected may file appeals until August 26, with decisions on appeals to be announced on August 28.
The revised list of candidates will be issued on August 29, while the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is August 30.Polling will be held on September 9 at the Punjab Assembly from 9 am to 4 pm
