Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has started investigation against the election commissioner Punjab.
The ECP has formed a five-member committee for the probe. while convenor-ship has been given to Director General Political Finance Masood Sheerani.
On the other hand the ECP has ordered to Aijaz Anwar to send his reply in 10 days. He has an allegation of misconduct.
The ECP has issued order of the inquiry.
According to the order Chief Election Commissioner Aijaz Anwar hid the election officer of Khoshab Osama Ahmed Ali departure to abroad.
The election officer went to Canada without No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The order reads that Chief Election Commissioner was aware of Osama Ahmed Ali departure to Canada.
The election officer travelling to Canada shows negligence before the general elections.
