Islamaabd (November 17, 2017): The meeting of Election Commission of Pakistan’s Planning Committee held here in Islamabad.
The meeting was presided over by Secretary ECP Baber Yaqoon Fateh Muhammad and attended by others officials.
The meeting decided to observe December 7 as National Voters’ Day.
It was decided that main ceremony of the day will be held at President House. President Mamnoon Hussain will be chief guest at the ceremony, while Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan will also address the ceremony.
The ceremony will be attended among other by 700 officials of different government departments and organization.
Voters Day ceremonies will also be held at provincial governor houses in all the four provinces. It was decided that at divisional and district centres awareness walks would be organized.
The ECP said that all arrangements for the voters Day have been completed.
