Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) to be celebrated on Monday

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) will be celebrated with religious zeal and fervor across the country on Monday.

The day will dawn with thirty-one gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one gun salutes in all provincial capitals to pay homage to the last Prophet [SAW].

It will be a public holiday on Monday.

Special Conferences, events and Mahafil-e-Naat have been arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose whole life and teachings are beacon of light for humanity.

Seerat Conferences will also be organized at the provincial headquarters and other main cities and towns.

Prominent Ulema will highlight various aspects of Seerat-un Nabi (SAW) calling upon people to follow the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) for their salvation.

Meanwhile, a two-day National Seerat conference in connection with Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (sallalaho alihe wasallam) began in Lahore on Sunday. The theme of this year’s conference is “Interfaith harmony in the light of Islam and life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).

Addressing the inaugural session, Federal Minister for religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said, the government is taking concrete steps to promote interfaith harmony in the society.

He said the purpose of organizing this conference is to help prepare suggestions for promoting interfaith harmony.
