ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi on Tuesday administered the oath to Brigadier (Retd.) Ejaz Shah as the new federal minister for Parliamentary Affairs at a ceremony attended by government officials.
According to details, the oath-taking ceremony took place at the President House with high-level military and political in attendance.
On March 28, prime minister Imran Khan gave go-ahead for Ejaz Shah to be made the federal Parliamentary Affairs after consultations with President Alvi.
Brigadier Ejaz Shah is a retired Pakistan Army officer and politician who is a member of Pakistan’s National Assembly from Nankana Sahib. He formerly served as Director-General of Intelligence Bureau of Pakistan from 2004 to 2008.
Shah was a long-term close associate of Pervez Musharraf, and a former Pakistan Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) operator.
