KARACHI: Electricity will become cheaper for Karachi consumers by 4 rupees and 95 paisa per unit.
Electricity prices for Karachi consumers will be reduced by Rs. 4.95 per unit.
K-Electric has submitted a request to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for a reduction in electricity prices.
The NEPRA authority will hold a hearing on February 26th on the electricity application. If the petition is approved, consumers will receive a relief of 4.94 billion rupees.
K-Electric has filed a request for a reduction in electricity prices per unit under the Fuel Price Adjustment (FCA) mechanism. The decrease in electricity prices is expected for the month of December under the FCA.
Nepra hearing on K-Electric’s request will be held on February 26th.
