Elon Musk’s starlink company will provide high speed internet service in Pakistan.

WEBDESK: The Paksitan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) officials has confirmed that Starlink will need to enter into commercial agreement with SUPARCO to provide better internet service in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has taken a significant step towards improving internet speed in the country, with plans to issue a license to Starlink, Elon Musk’s satellite internet company.

As per PTA officials, the decision to grant a license to Starlink has been finalized in principle, with only security clearance pending. Once this is completed, Starlink will officially be licensed to operate in Pakistan.

“Starlink’s license is ready, and only security clearance is pending,” PTA officials confirm.

The introduction of Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet service is expected to bring a significant boost to internet connectivity across the country, especially in rural and remote areas where traditional broadband services are limited or slow.

PTA officials confirmed that Starlink would need to enter into a commercial agreement with Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) to provide its services in the country. This agreement will also need to be submitted to the PTA for approval.

After launching Starlink company in Pakistan, the company will offer citizens across the country access to reliable and high speed satellite internet.
