Karachi: Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab has imposed emergency on all Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) hydrants.
Murtaza Wahab said that the Karachi Metropolitan Cooperation (KMC) staff of fire brigade are busy in extinguishing the fire adding that other fire tenders from across the city hydrants also reaching the site.
The Mayor said that the police, law enforcement agencies personnel and the KMC staff are busy in rescuing the people.
Rescue operation continues as people are being evacuated safely from the building. I can so far confirm that 2 people with severe burn injuries have been moved to Civil Hospital Burns Ward. No bead bodies found as yet however, search is being made. Will keep everyone posted https://t.co/tulDHAALJc

He said that it will be premature saying about controlling the fire and type of the fire. Murtaza said that the fire is of intensive category.
