100-Index Ends Week in Negative Zone

KARACHI: The current business week seemed overall negative trend and Pakistan Stock Exchange PSX 100-index ended with a decline of 3.6 per cent while the price of dollar crossed Rs 160.

At the end of the week, PSX witnesses the decline of 1213 points and ended at 32458 points that caused the loss of Rs 230 billion to traders.

The foreign investors got the advantage of the low price of the shares and traded shares worth of Rs 6.4 million. According to the stock market analysis, the increase in the interest rate and International court verdict in Rico Dic case severely affected the market.

On the other hand, the dollar gained Rs 1.400 last day and closed at Rs 160.19 in interbank and it closed at 160.70 in open market.
