MEXICO CITY: At least 14 people, including five children were killed and twenty two others wounded when a blast took place at a fireworks warehouse in central Puebla state.
Officials said that a store of fireworks exploded in a village in Puebla state. Rescue officials shifted the bodies and the injured to the hospital. Emergency declared in Mexico City hospital in connection with the explosion. Bomb disposable squad and heavy contingents of police arrived at the scene and launched investigations.
Sources said that the fireworks warehouse caught fire on Monday night in San Isidro Huilotepec as villagers were preparing for a saint’s day celebration next week.
