Adviser to Prime Minister (PM) on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz said that border management system is in interest of both Pakistan and Afghanistan adding that betterment in border system will help in prevention of terrorism while construction of gate will be completed to improve border management.
The adviser was addressing the national assembly as policy statement on Pak-Afghan recent skirmishes. Sartaj Aziz said that Pakistan did not violate any mutual agreement adding that it was agreed in meeting with Afghanistan ambassador for construction of gate and Afghan officials were informed in advanced regarding construction of gate while gate was already present at Tourkham border in past as well.
The adviser said that Afghanistan was informed that documents will be checked on June 1 adding that Pakistan is working on for improving border management.
Sartaj further said that Pakistan wanted thriving friendly relations with Afghanistan and the country did not resort to any aggression.
