Mega corruption scandal: Accused handed to NAB on another 14 days remand

Baluchistan Accountability Court (AC) has handed facilitator of Mushtaq Raisani, Sohail Majeed Shah and former exeian Tariq Ali to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on further 14 days remand, while verdict has been reserved by the court on appeal of former accountant officer town committee Khaliqabad, Nadeem Iqbal to shift him in jail ward on medical grounds.

Judge of the AC Abdul Majeed Khan Nasir on Thursday heard the petition of mega corruption case. The facilitator of Mushtaq Raisani, Sohail Majeed, former exeian Qalat Tariq Ali, account officer town committee Khaliqabad, Nadeem Iqbal presented before the court during the hearing. The NAB official requested the court to extend remand of all the accused.

Counsel of Nadeem Iqbal argued before the court during the hearing that the NAB has not completed any investigation as 47 days have passed adding that his client Nadeem is a kidney patient and needs complete treatment. The court reserved the decision on the Nadeem appeal till July 4. While the court also accepted the request of the NAB and extended the remand for more 14 days and handed Sohail Majeed Shah and Tariq Ali to NAB.

The hearing has been adjourned till July 15.
