Countrywide Hajj operation has begun as three flights carrying pilgrims departed for Madina Munawara from Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore whereas Hajj operation will remain continued till September 4.
First PIA Hajj flight departed for Madina carrying 328 pilgrims today early in the morning from Islamabad. The federal minister for religious affairs Sardar Yousuf and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan see them off. On this occasion, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said while addressing the ceremony that best medical treatment measures have bee made for pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. He warned pilgrims that they should not carry any dubious thing along them because doing this Pakistan could face defamed.
In addition, PIA flight carrying 230 pilgrims departed for Madina from Karachi today early in the morning, whereas from Lahore 220 pilgrims departed for Madina. In connection of Hajj operation special arrangements have made by Civil Aviation. Beside this airport officials only allowed one person to see pilgrims off in premises of airport due to security concerns.
