Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved to recruit 1500 personnel in Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), the CM said that the CTD will be revived while its forces will be deployed in every division of the province.
Additional Inspector General (AIG) Sana Ullah Abbassi called on the CM Sindh. Sources said that the AIG briefed the CM regarding revival of the CTD.
The AIG said that as many as 306.4 million rupees are needed for the CTD staff and new privileges as per their duties and for other expenditures adding that more SSP level officers are also needed for the CTD while bullet proof vehicles are also needed for the CTD which will cost 305.7 million rupees.
The CM Sindh approving 1000 personnel and 500 ASI in the CTD instructed the AIG to submit complete details regarding revival of the CTD.
