Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that it will not be allowed that Karachi be held hostage just on one man phone call adding that reference against Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) supremo is being sent to British government.
The minister called on Pakistan Broadcaster Association (PBA) delegation at Governor House Karachi and expressed solidarity on the issue of attack on media houses and media representatives with them.
At the occasion, Nisar said that complete security will be provided to media houses adding that the government is on same page regarding security of Pakistan and Karachi.
Before the meet-up, the minister met with Governor Sindh Ishrat Ul Ebad. The two leaders expressed resolved that security of the country will not be compromised at all cost while the two leaders agreed that peace will be uphold in the city at all cost.
Talking at the occasion the Governor Sindh said that the action will be taken as per law against those who took law into their hands, miscreant elements and involved in vandalizing adding that peace of Karachi is the peace of the country and strict action will be taken against those who will create disturbance for law and order.
Ishrat also said that Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA’s) and Rangers have given numerous sacrifices which will not be let gone in vain.
