The Director General Rangers Sindh has opposed quota system in Sindh as Bilal Akbar has said that quota system is contempt of merit whereas Karachi operation details also tabled in APEX Committee.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has chaired Sindh’s APEX meeting, in which corps commander Karachi, IG Sindh, Home Secretary and other top brass officials attended the meeting.
While opposing quota system in Sindh, DG Rangers said in the session of APEX Committee that it is the contempt of merit due to which sense of frustration has been growing in youths of Sindh.
In addition, DG Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar has tabled details of operation being carried out by Rangers in Karachi, in which it told that from 2013 til now 848 target killers were nabbed through targeted operations while culprits have confessed crime of 5,863 targeted killings during an investigation, in arrested accused 95 are associated with Lyari gang war, whereas 99 target killers of banned outlawed were also arrested as banned outfits accused confessed 557 crimes of target killing. He further stated that most of the accused in arrested target killers are militant wing of political party.
