International Day of Peace being observed today

The Inernational Day of Peace is being observed across the globe  including Pakistan, amid terrorism, lawlessness and oppression in Palestine, Kashmir and Syria.

The United Nations  had declared September 21 as International Day of Peace in order to establish and promote  peace in world in 2002.

Despite the passage of 66 years, the Palestine issue is still unresolved with Palestinian suffering from oppression, lawlessness and subjugation. Without resolving the issue of Palestine dreaming for a peaceful world especially Middle East will be illusive.

Like Palestinians, the Kashmiris are also suffering from suppression and brutalities of Indian forces in Kashmir. Kashmiri people have sacrificed 93,935 lives in the quest of right to self-determination.

In Syria, hundreds of thousands of people have been victims of terrorism,   lawlessness, civil war.

Thus the efforts and struggles for a peaceful world will remain a distant dream without resolving conflicts and disputes in different regions of the world including Palestine and Kashmir issues.
