India claims to kills 2 mujahideen after attack at Headquarters in Handwara

The militants opened fire on an army camp at Langate in Kupwara district at around 5 am, which was retaliated by the alert jawans, an army official said.

After repulsing the attack, the security forces launched a search operation in the area, during which the militants fired upon them, leading to an encounter.

“Three militants have been killed in the ensuing encounter and three AK 47 rifles have been recovered from the spot,” the official said.

This is the second attack on Indian army camps in five days. On Sunday, at least one trooper of the Border Security Force (BSF) was killed and another injured in a similar attack on an army camp at Baramulla town of IHK.


Army said that militants opened fire on the sentry posts of the RR camp in Langate at two places. The militants then tried to flee, however army and Special Operation Group of Police chased them and engaged in an encounter. The search operation is still in progress.

On the other hand Kashmir media service rejected Indian claims that killed youth was not Mujaheddin but common citizen, of which occupying force martyred considering mujaheddin. According to  kashmir media service, Indian forces search operation continued  in the area after  attack at Headquarters of Rashtariya rifles, as result  more than 100 people were taken into custody and being shifted to an undisclosed location.
