Sindh police has formally booked ex-senator Faisal Raza Abid in connection with Patel Para killings while he will be produced before the court on Sunday.
Soldier’s Bazar investigation police has shown the former senator arrest while Superintendent of Police (SP) Jamshaid Town said that screening of arms started which was found from ex-senator residence in a raid carried out on last night.
The SP said after screening of ammunition further details will be provided to media while the former senator will be produced in court on Sunday, where police will contend for his remand.
It is pertinent to mention here that Faisal Raza Abidi was arrested from his residence situated in New Rizvia Society on intervening night of Saturday and Sunday and police had taken house search where Rangers found ammunition .
Investigation sources said that Faisal has been arrested in doubt of facilitating terrorists in connection with target killings occurred on Friday which included Patel Para double murder.
On the other hand Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslemeen has expressed its reaction over ex-senator arrest and said that the Sindh government has set wrong example after arresting Faisal Raza Abidi.
It is pertinent to mention here that as many as 5 persons were killed in several target killings incident started after Juma prayers throughout the city.
