Pakistan does not want arms race in region: PM

Karachi: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2016. After inauguration in his commencement speech the PM said that Pakistan is against the race for arms in the region.

The premier said that the defence exhibition  can be compared to any international standard adding that the goods presented in the exhibition are state of the arty produced here in the country and now countries are trusting Pakistan for the defense goods.

The PM said that the government is giving special care in social sector and determined to make economy strengthened. He said that mark up rate is at all time low in country’s history resulting into improvement in the country credit rating by standards and Pour while international institutions are also highlighting Pakistan economic development.

Nawaz Sharif said that terrorists activities decreased impressively in the  country with the government initiatives adding that speedy work is continued for timely completion of energy related projects.

The premier said that  we wanted to encourage private sector in the country adding that Pakistan has given 100 percent owner ship rights for foreign investment.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by all three chiefs of Army, Air Force and Navy namely, Gen Raheel Sharif, Air Chief Marshall Sohail Aman, Admiral Zaka Ullah. Besides them Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, National Security Adviser Nasir Khan Janjua , Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Corps Commander Karachi Naveed Mukhtar and DG Rangers Sindh Bilal Akbar and other high government officials and many representatives of various armies of various countries.
