ICC awards Pakistan women team 6 points after BCCI refuses to play

Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) stubbornness turned mercy for Pakistan women cricket team as the BCCI cancelled India-Pakistan women cricket series Pakistan women team got 6 points.

Pakistan Women Cricket team had to play 3 matches for world cup qualifying against Indian in home ground which were scheduled for current year in September. But despite many reminders by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the BCCI was reluctant to respond to Pakistan and refused many times.

After long wait, the PCB demanded to International Cricket Council (ICC) in its previous meeting that after India’s refusal to series again and again, the six points be awarded to Pakistani team so that Pakistan team could not suffer loss.

After  the PCB demand, ICC handed over the matter to its technical committee and it awarded 6 points to Pakistan.

But Pakistan must have to play qualifying round despite getting 6 points while Australia, England, New Zealand and West Indies have qualified for the mega event.
