2-Member SLCB Delegation Arriving Today to Review Security

Lahore (October 25, 2017): A two-member security delegation of Sri Lankan Cricket Board will be arriving here today to review arrangements for the third and final event of three-match T20 series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka which is scheduled to be held at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday October 29.

It may be mentioned here that Pakistan lost the three-match Test series against Sri Lanka in UAE by 2-nil but it clean swept the five-match ODI series by 5-nil.

Works are on to prepare pitches at Qaddafi Stadium here and the grass has been cut in different patterns as the ground gets a makeover.

Enclosures are being washed and plastic chairs are being repainted and broken chairs are being replaced with new ones.

As per the security plan, the entire Nishtar Park sports complex and the restaurants and businesses located in its vicinity will be closed from October 26 to 29. Similar measures were also taken earlier this year when we organised the final of the Pakistan Super League and the matches of World XI last month.

Online tickets for the upcoming match went on sale last week. The tickets are also available at designated courier centres.

It may be mentioned here that Pakistan and Sri Lanka had played 15 T20 matches in 2009 in which Pakistan had dominated the series. Three of these matches were played in UAE of which Pakistan won two while Sri Lanka hod won the third.
