Karachiites can get Driving Licence in 45 Min Now

Karachi (May 25, 2107): An special service has been launched in Karachi that processes driving licences in 45 minutes. The IG claimed that this system will be spread to other cities of Sindh as well.

A memorandum was signed regarding fee submission of the driving licence, dispatching licences to homes and keeping their software upgraded with courier software companies.

The memorandum was signed between National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), National Database and Registration Authority and the Government.

Jazz Cash and NBP have partnered to facilitate the payment of driving licence fee across Sindh.

Drivers applying for their learning licence or for renewal of their licence can pay the fee through their Jazz Cash Mobile Account or Jazz Cash agents. A new driving licence branch was also launched in Clifton.

The new system will help end the practice of using ‘agents’ to process licences, who are usually operating at driving licence branches, as well as keep a check on fake licences, said the Driving Licence DIG.

Residents can get their learning licence directly on their national identity cards.

The IG claimed that this system will be spread to other cities of Sindh.

He added that the public will be able to get the learning licence in less than five minutes, while the driving licence will take maximum 45 minutes.

A mobile licencing has also been launched at different public places such as schools, colleges and shopping plazas.
