Qazi Ahmed (July 01, 2017): An oil tanker caught fire after it overturned near Qazi Ahmed town on the National Highway on Saturday.
An oil tanker that was going from Karachi to Punjab turned turtle on National Highway near Qazi Ahmed in Nawabshah today (Saturday).

According to initial details, the truck caught fire as soon as it overturned but the driver managed to escape the blaze. The rescue teams have started reaching the scene.
No loss of human life has been reported so far in the incident. Fire brigade from all over the district has been called to overcome the blaze. According to officials, it will take three to four hours to put out the fire.
Fire brigade managed to control the blaze soon after the incident happened.
The vehicle’s driver and his helper were reported to be safe.
The tanker was carrying thousands of litres of petrol, the police said after it cordoned off the area.
192 people lost their lives in a similar incident when an oil tanker overturned on the National Highway on June 25 — a day before Eid was to be celebrated in most parts of the country.

A large number of people were charred to death on the spot as the overturned oil tanker exploded into an inferno. They included passers-by and residents of a nearby area, who had gathered to collect oil that was leaking from the tanker.
