Indian Troops Atrocities Continue in Occupied Kashmir

Srinagar(July 5, 2017): In occupied Kashmir, people in Shopian and Pulwama districts were rendered heartbroken over receiving just charred body parts of three youth killed by Indian troops during a 24-hour long military operation at Bahmnoo in Pulwama district.

Body of Kifayat Ahmad Khanday, one of the three martyred youth, could be identified only after a long struggle as it was charred beyond recognition because the troops had used chemical substance to destroy the four-storey residential house where he along with his two associates Jahangir Khanday and Faisal Ahmad were present during the operation.

Muhammad Ahsan Khanday, father of Jahangir Ahmad, was carrying single-handedly the body of his martyred son. “There were only some body parts wrapped in white and red clothes,” media reports quoting relatives said.

Body of third youth, Faisal Ahmad, was discovered 24 hours after troops destroyed the house. Police resorted to firing and lobbed teargas shells on the people who were demanding the body. He belonged to Reasi.

A large number of people in Shopian and Pulwama districts staged protests near the District Police Lines, Pulwama, demanding the body of Faisal Ahmad.

As, several protesters were injured when the police used brute force on the protesters. Some critically injured were shifted to Srinagar for treatment.

Meanwhile, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of Jehangir Ahmad Khanday in Shopian district.
