Rawalpindi (August 17, 2017): Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday met with Commander Polish Land Forces Brigadier General Wojclech Granowshi and discussed matters of mutual interest including defence, training and bilateral security cooperation, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Views were also exchanged on regional security and the delegation was given a detailed briefing on operational and training activities of the Pakistan Army.

According to the ISPR, the commander acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against terrorism.

Earlier, on arrival at GHQ, Brig Gen Granowsh was presented a guard of honour by a contingent of the Pakistan Army, and he also laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada (Monument to Martyrs).
On arrival at the General Headquarters, the commander of Polish land forces laid a floral wreath at the Martyr’s Monument and was presented a guard of honour by an Army contingent.
Separately, the Jordanian Ambassador to Pakistan, Jordanian Ambassador to Pakistan, also called on Gen Bajwa at the GHQ to discuss matters related to regional security and military cooperation, the ISPR said.
