Massive Fire Erupts In West London

London(August 20, 2017): Dozens of firefighters were called to a massive blaze in a west London flat.

Flames gutted two apartments inside the Bayswater townhouse in Kensington Gardens Square after a fire broke out as nearly 60 firefighters battled for hours to extinguish the blaze.

However, there were no reports of any injuries. An LFB spokesman said, “Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters and officers were called to a flat fire on Kensington Gardens Square.  A turntable ladder was also used to tackle the blaze.

Station Manager Nick Saunders, who was at the scene, added that this was a challenging fire and crews worked hard to contain it and to stop it from spreading further than the two affected flats.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
