2nd ODI: England beat South Africa by two runs to clinch series  

Southampton (May 28, 2017): England on Saturday won the thrilling second One-day International match against South Africa by two runs and clinched the series at The Rose Bowl, Southampton.

Seamer Mark Wood bowled a sensational last over for England to beat top-ranked South Africa by two runs and win their one-day international series on Saturday.

David Miller and Chris Morris batted South Africa down to needing 10 runs off the last 10 balls for victory. But medium-pacer Jake Ball conceded only three runs off his last four deliveries, and Wood gave up only four singles in a tense last over.

According to the details, South Africa won the toss and opted to field first. England set South Africa 331 runs target to win. Ben Stokes was the top scroer of the match with 101 runs. Morgan and stokes scored 95 runs in partnership.

South African right-arm fast bowler Kagiso Rabada took two wickets in the match. While Pretorius, Maharaj and Phehlukwayo took one wicket each.

England bowlers restricted South Africa at 328 on five wickets. South African opener Dock scored 98 runs with 11 fours on 144 balls. Captain Skipper AB de Villiers made 52 runs. Whereas DA Miller scored 71 runs and remained not out.

England’s right-arm fast bowler Liam Plunkett took three wickets in the match. Whereas Stokes and MM Ali cinched three wickets.
